The group of friends, known as the Waldos, would meet after school at 4:20 p.m. to smoke marijuana. The Waldos were also friends with members of the Grateful Dead, and they would use the term 420 around the band. - Niagara Falls 420: this one looks like a giant cannabis convention with over 30,000 square feet of "all things cannabis."
- Tokyo Smoke's 420 Toronto: this event is in it's second year and it looks really fun. They are claiming to be the "largest 4/20 Cannabis Celebration in Canada."
- 420 Winnipeg: I don't know much about this event, but it looks legit and a lot of fun with a "med-man march" through downtown Winnipeg.
