The product include CBD isolate performance tincture, CBD-infused rejuvenation gummies and CBD sport capsules

The importing will be done with guidance from CBD Group Asia, which operates in South Asia and the Pacific Rim

AgraFlora Organics International Inc () (OTCMKTS:AGFAF) announced Tuesday that its jointly owned subsidiary Eurasia Infused Cosmetics Inc is preparing to import a series of athlete-focused CBD products into Japan and Hong Kong.

The products, which include CBD isolate performance tincture, CBD-infused rejuvenation gummies and CBD sport capsules, will be imported in collaboration with the Toronto Wolfpack Rugby League Football Club and its subsidiary, Howlbrands Inc.

The Wolfpacks were recently promoted to the 2020 RLF Super League competition, the highest tier of English rugby league. By importing products to Japan, AgraFlora is breaking into the market that earlier this year played host to the 2018 Rugby World Cup.

Its 50%-owned subsidiary Eurasia Infused, through its commercial concession with Hong Kong’s CBD Group Asia Inc, controls a distribution agreement for CBD and hemp-derived beauty, wellness and performance products within South Asia and the Pacific Rim.

“With the guidance of CBD Group Asia we continue to occupy trailblazer status within the global CBD sports market, all while occupying the intersection between wellness and sports,” CEO Brandon Bobby said in a statement. “Our objective is to create brands that transcend beyond sport; delivering specific benefits that appeal to and reach all consumers who value proper care of their bodies.”

AgraFlora is based in Vancouver and owns an indoor cultivation facility in London, Ontario, as well as an edibles manufacturing facility in Winnipeg currently being retrofitted.

The company is also a joint venture partner in Propagation Services Canada Inc, which operates a 2.2 million-square-foot greenhouse complex in Delta, British Columbia.

Bobby believes the company — and CBD in general — is on the precipice of growth.

“Fifteen to twenty years ago, protein powder and performance supplements were health and wellness products only consumed by body builders and triathletes, today these products have become ubiquitous in the daily routine of many from accountants, to trades people to stay-at-home parents,” Bobby said. “We speculate that CBD’s societal permeation will replicate this trajectory.”
