Ryan was born in Colorado Springs, CO but left with his family when he was very young. Ryan and his family moved to Coquimbo, Chile for a brief time before Ryan found himself in Las Vegas. Ryan became a professional dancer and model for about six years after arriving in Nevada. After touring the world, Ryan decided to reside in Las Vegas; focusing on building roots and setting down. Ryan began working for a fine dining restaurant in Las Vegas and became, what those who know him would call, obsessed with cannabis. Combining his gaining knowledge from years of wine classes, with his increasing years of cannabis tasting, reviewing and cultivating landed him the name “the Canna Somm”.

In 2009 Ryan landed a job with Jolly Green Meds, a premier cannabis dispensary. This Las Vegas dispensary was raided and Ryan was arrested in the process with 5 other cannabis workers later named, “the J.G.M. Six”. During the next four years while the case was going on Ryan continued his patient grow and studied everything about cannabis from lineage, law, cultivation and advocacy. Taking his love of the arts Ryan accepted an apprenticeship as a tattoo artist and was able to freely work and continue seeking rare and fine cannabis. During this time Ryan received a call from his attorney that would change his life. His case was dismissed. It was finally over.

Taking everything he learned over his life Ryan the Canna Somm began looking for his spot in the one industry he loves. Cannabis. Along with his wife and cannabis figure Addie Martin they started what became a popular YouTube show called Bake N Wake Review carrying multiple sponsors and networks. This duo was later picked up by The Dispensary group which is where they can be found today.

Our FREE INFORMATION SESSION is hosted by industry professionals and includes an informative presentation that covers state laws, license types, employment requirements and job opportunities. WHY SHOULD I ATTEND? Nevada law requires employees (agents) of a Marijuana Establishment (ME) to be trained and receive a state issued work card. We will go through the Agent Card Application process step-by-step and answer any questions you may have about the packet. So far 6,700 people are employed in Nevada's cannabis industry. We expect that number to double by 2019.

HOW CAN I GET PREPARED FOR THIS EVENT? Start the Marijuana Work Cards process by visiting a Livescan approved fingerprinting agency to get your passport photos and background check complete. There is a cost of $100 to complete this step that you will pay to the Fingerprinting Agency. We recommend Fingerprinting Pros on Sahara and Maryland, next to Inyo Cannabis Dispensary and Smiths Shopping Center.

Do I get a certificate for attending?

No, this is a FREE INFORMATION SESSION, not a training and certification course. If you choose to register and pay for a Trim Ready certification course then you will receive a certificate. You also will be added to our list of graduates and will receive emails regarding job placement. We do recommend that graduates update their resume and cover letter to include their most recent certification under the education/skills section.

Does my certification work in other states?

Yes, TRIM READY™ certifications are accepted as professional achievements/technical training in most marijuana legal states and any state we do business in. (Nevada, California, Hawaii and Florida). After graduation, please follow the proper steps of updating your resume and cover letter so we can be reached in case your employer is requesting a verification or vocational reference.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

There is no age requirement to attend the course, although the state you choose to work in might have age restrictions on working in a licensed cannabis facility.

The traditional buffet includes both infused and non-infused selections. Infused dishes are delicately seasoned with small doses of cannabis strains that enhance and compliments the dish’s flavors. The cannabis sommelier will explain the quality of each strain used in the side dishes. You will have the opportunity to see and smell the cannabis used in each dish, as well as, smoking samples. The herbal nuances are more defined in smoking and will be distinguishable to both the aficionados and the novice.

This July lodge Medicine entails the Goddess Hathor, the Dolphin, the Crystal Garnet, the Plant Red Raspberry.Guests will be treated to Hint Of Greens, Lauren Ungers specialty Amazeballs when arriving. We begin with intention setting and sacred yoga led by Ashley Barnes. Afterwards a joint circle ceremony takes places where Guest Goddess Healer Ashley Manta will explain the importance of self love on a cannasexual level. Following Ashley, each goddess will partake in a lightwork exercise to bind all the healing they have received. Before departure each goddess will participate in the Gift Exchange which will be the closing of the lodge.  Vulva gazing exercise: Have you ever felt self conscious about your genitals? If so, you’re not alone! Let CannaSexual Ashley Manta walk you through a series of exercises designed to help you feel more confident and love your bits! Through photos, art, and even a live demo, you’ll be able to see that vulvas come in all shapes and sizes, and they’re all awesome! In this we will explore the vibrational medicine of gems & flowers. We will go on a meditative journey with a crystal, stone or flower of choice and learn how to intuitively receive natures wisdom & healing consciousness. Together, we will create an essence- vibrationally infused water that carries these powerful healing qualities. We will each be able to take home a sample of this flower & gem essence as well as the ability to create your own anytime!

 

A women’s only intensive healing workshop rooted in indigenous Earth Medicines and Kundalini Yoga.  We honor the native practice of The Black Lodge/Moon Lodge of our ancestors before us. Long before books were written about women coming together in red tents, the original inhabitants of Turtle Island were doing this honoring the West shield of the Medicine Wheel. So again we sit in circle as ONE, passing a sacred item while each woman shares an insight, a poem, whatever you feel called to and deeply listen. Often times there are tears of joy and healing. When you honor the receptive and intuitive nature of other females you tap into something deep rooted in your sacred path. Women have been the Seers and the Oracles for their tribes for centuries. This is a place of unconditional support and safety. 

 

The Green Lodge promotes women’s empowerment, support, and help in establishing a foundation for daily practice aimed at each owns personal growth.
