Texas Cannabis PAC (TexCann) is a non-partisan political action committee organized to promote the consensus position on cannabis reform in the Texas Legislature.

For years now, the tide has been changing around the country as state after state revisits and reforms our cannabis laws. These changes range from decriminalization and medical marijuana to allowing for adult recreational use. Texas is no exception to this process, having formally rejected the “Schedule I” status and prohibition policy of the federal government through the Texas Legislature’s passage and implementation of the Texas Compassionate Use Act, which currently allows for limited access of cannabis derivatives from plants grown in Texas.

The move toward reform continues as Texans have witnessed both political partes embrace cannabis reform. These bipartisan calls for common-sense decriminalization, legalization, medical access, and business enterprise opportunities continue to grow louder.

TexCANN seeks to gather and distribute the resources necessary to encourage continued reform. This is done by providing campaign contributions to members of the Texas legislature and statewide office holders who agree with the consensus position and are willing to support it.

The last point covers our capital raise sessions where aspiring business entrepreneurs and small business owners are given the time to present their new or existing ideas to a panel of investment professionals, venture capital firms, athletes and wealth managers in order to take their business to the next level. The panel is made up of individuals looking to put their money in this growing space, and help nurture businesses into their full potential.

We are projecting a turnout of approximately 1,000+ attendees per day.

This is a series for co-founders, entrepreneurs and individuals interested in moving forward with their cannabis business in regulated markets.

The first part of the series will set the tone for the type of workshopping and mentorship that all participants will receive. We will explore:

-History of Prohibition and forward thinking/differentiators for emerging cannabis brands and businesses

At the end of this series, participants will have a business plan, technical support lined up (accounting, finance, HR, training and more). While folks are in business for themselves, this series aims to create valuable inter-industry connections and relationships to help the individual establish and grow their business.

Stop for a snack at the Food Court featuring Local Food trucks.

Dance and enjoy music brought to you by OG Trio and The Schwag.

The competition will be judged by a mix of invited judges and 12 folks who purchase our judge experience package. The Judge package experience includes your ticket to the event, a lounge area with snacks, your judge kit for the competition, and included in on the fun. Hurry they are limited in number.
